“You the G.O.A.T”, a phrase that is popular in today’s society. But what are people really saying when they use this phrase? I was in prayer asking God to give me a book to study and He told me Matthew 25 KJV. I got up today and opened my Bible, and realize this is where I left off. I totally forgot because I bounce around throughout the Bible to verses that apply with what I am seeking, or current events.

As I started reading the Chapter. The Lord is speaking about being ready, how we as Christians need to be ready for the return of the bride, Jesus Christ. If you are familiar with this chapter then you know the story of the five foolish virgins, a reminder of how we all need to be ready daily because we never know the timing nor the hour of the return of our Lord and Saviour.

As I read on, I came across this verse:

“And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.” Matthew 25:33 KJV

When I read this scripture, I thought of the phrase “Greatest of All Times” then I said “this is why we should not say this phrase” our younger generation so quickly to call them self a GOAT or GWOAT. Not knowing that this has a Biblical meaning. I kept reading because I wanted to know what our Lord was going to say about the goat on the left.

He answered in this scripture:

“Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:” Matthew 25:41 KJV

The left hand is curse. How many people in today’s society are in the left hand. Considering themselves goats not knowing the spiritual context of the word. Not knowing that the goat has spiritual meaning both to Jesus and to Satan. Not knowing what they are saying. How can you call yourself the greatest of all time. To say this means you are greater than Jesus himself then.

People of God we must be careful of what we say. We must test the spirit of all new trending phrases or says. Even dances, everything here on earth is Spiritual. Do your research.
