Spiritual Literacy

The walk can be lonely,

It can be scary.

But one thing the walk isn’t is easy.

Each day there is a fight,

A fight to stay in alignment with the Father’s plan.

Temptation pulls at you from every angle,

Self rises taller than ever. 

But the strength of Jesus overpowers all. 

This walk is consistent prayer,

Consistent fasting, consistent studying.

Because it is so easy, 

To fall back into self.

To fall into a place of comfort, to backslide into the world.

This walk is necessary, as the days get shorter and the crime increase, 

you will start to see who or what is the real “beast”. 

This walk is worth the endurance, because He walked this same walk. 

So, for Him I will walk on.
